Associate Attorney - Transactional

We are partnering with a full-service downtown Minneapolis law firm seeking a transactional/business attorney to join its practice.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal setting handling transactional matters and is interested in broadening their practice and taking on substantive, hands-on work. The role offers direct access to partners who are actively involved in mentorship and associate development.

Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts

Review and revise NDAs and other routine business agreements

Advise clients on contract terms, risk, and practical next steps

Handle a consistent flow of day-to-day transactional work with limited oversight

Assist on broader transactional matters, including exposure to government contracts

Support trademark and copyright matters, including reviewing agreements and related filings

Requirements

Qualifications:

2-5 years (flexible for strong 1-4 year candidates) of transactional/corporate experience

J.D. with solid academic performance

Licensed to practice in Minnesota

Strong drafting and writing skills

Some familiarity with intellectual property matters, including trademarks and copyrights preferred, but not required.
