Essential Administrator Job Functions:
Administer and optimize environments by following the best practices to support reliable, robust, and efficient infrastructure architecture.
Work closely with system/platform administrators to define the platform requirement, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
Install, configure, manage environment/landscape, and provide support in maintenance/upgrading of existing products/environment as well as resolve development or server-specific issues during the upgrade process.
Coordinate problem resolution across the different teams that support the infrastructure (Cloud, servers, network, operating systems, databases, security, and middleware).
Evaluate, plan, schedule, and conduct system tests, monitor test results, and take required corrective action.
Provide security management, which includes account management and access control, as well as permission management.
Interact with business unit application owners to resolve performance and provide day-to-day troubleshooting of end-user and environment issues.
Provide hands-on support for installation, configuration, and deployment of the suite of software that are required for the project deployment.
Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives.
Liaise with product support to resolve all issues regarding upgrade or security, etc.
Review and apply security-related rules and constraints to the system. Ensure the environment is fully compliant with security policies and internal controls.
Provide support to integrate products with institutional systems as per defined and approved framework.
Provide support of mission-critical systems with focus on high availability (local and remote failover capabilities).
Adhere to Service Level Agreements/Operational Level Agreements, and take every possible step for high availability and resilient services.
Adhere to and enforce all Information security and system management standards for hardware and software, including change management practices and institution policies.
Provide periodic and ad-hoc status reports including KPIs as requested by team lead.
Participate in "On Call" weekly shift supporting off-hours and weekend activity (this is a rotating assignment shared with other members of the team, as necessary).
Create and maintain task automation and monitoring tools.
Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real-time performance monitoring of the environments.
Establish and test disaster recovery policies and procedures, complete backups, and maintain documentation of all processes including configuration and operational processes.
Follow ITIL process in the system administration and need to be familiar with ISO processes.
Participate in project calls and work with internal Bank groups to gather detailed technical requirements and application specifications.
Identify and manage dependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure.
Ensure developed applications and systems are transitioned to customers in a timely manner.
Perform core configuration tasks including system policies, business rules, and client scripts.
Perform deployment activities across products development lifecycle i.e., Dev to QA, QA to Prod.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Extensive experience in administering the environments including security, patching, and upgrade / capacity planning.
Experience with administrative tools and product management studio.
Experience in administering access control.
Experience in modern authentication and authorization mechanisms like ZERO-TRUST.
Strong experience in performance tuning of environment and products.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly self-directed and able to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent and competing challenges, issues, and ambiguities.
Work experience in medium/large organizations having segregated development, test, and production environments.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong, proven track record in administering the infrastructure for large, distributed enterprise implementations.
Good knowledge of troubleshooting and analytical skills in solving access/security-related issues.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and/or as part of a team under different circumstances.
Ability to prioritize assignments and work with accuracy and numeric facility.
Ability to apply practical problem-solving skills.
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems independently, as well as in collaboration with a team.
Ability and willingness to work, learn, and contribute in an internationally diverse team environment.
Good technical documentation skills.
Experience in identifying and handling bug fixes and enhancement requests.
Collaborate with other team members and contribute productively to the team's work and output, while demonstrating respect for different points of view.
