Description We are looking for a skilled Project Accountant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise to diverse projects while working within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities:

Oversee project-related accounting tasks, including tracking budgets, expenses, and financial performance.

Prepare and review journal entries, trial balances, and financial reports to ensure accuracy.

Collaborate with project teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes related to assigned projects.

Utilize tools such as Deltek Vision and Workday to streamline accounting workflows and reporting.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies in all financial activities.

Conduct variance analysis and reconcile discrepancies in project budgets.

Support construction accounting efforts, including cost tracking and resource allocation.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes for assigned projects.

Provide guidance and recommendations for improving financial processes and systems. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience, preferably in project or construction accounting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Deltek Vision or Workday.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and solve complex problems.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Preferred but not required: accounting certifications.
