Overview
Bowhead seeks a Lead JOC System Administrator (Mid Shift) to support our customer on the PICRD II contract in Colorado Springs, CO.
The duty hours for the mid position is 2130 - 0600.
Responsibilities
Provide computer network systems/client support for operating/maintaining Local Area Networks (LANs) and stand-alone systems/intranets.
Provide knowledge, skills, and ability to support first call resolution, touch maintenance, and lifecycle management for all Communications, Computer, Command and Control and Intelligence (C4I) systems within JOC.
Manage scheduled/unscheduled maintenance actions, end user support, and AV/VTC. Support exercise and potential real-world events on a contingency basis.
Coordinate with Host Base communications squadron to ensure/maintain security, integrity, and operations of HQ USSPACECOM systems and networks.
Operate and maintain IT processes, IT system hardware, and software.
Provide 24/7 Customer Service Desk (CSD) technician support for IT/Network Services.
Support first call resolution, touch maintenance, and lifecycle management.
Coordinate with Technical Order Distribution Office (TODO) for MILSTAR Messaging System (MMS) laptops, including software updates, security patches, faulty hardware replacement, and technical refresh management.
Ensure issues are resolved within 2 hours, if possible, with on-site support within 30-minutes.
Provide technical management and troubleshooting for communications and IT operating systems and applications.
Perform system loading, (re)configuration, user account management, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting. Remove/replace components and peripherals, install software/operating systems, and coordinate maintenance with base or outside support agencies.
Provide expertise for operating systems including Ansible, Windows (7, 2008, 10, 2012), VMware ESXi v5 or later, LINUX, UNIX, Office 365, and future systems. Support various applications including MASC, JMS, PDS-M, JIMDTS, BICES, DICES, GAP-CIE, NC3 FAB-T, JTEN, Thinklogical, Crestron, NMIS, Direct Lite, GOLD, CMS, AF7, DRSN, SGN, GCCS-J, and MILSTAR.
Qualifications
BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years' technical experience.
Meets Core and Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tasks (KSATs) defined in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework for Work Role 451 (NIST: OV-SA-001).
Certification Requirements:
Required: CompTIA Security- Desired: Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
Must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI, SAP/SAR, and NC2-ESI eligibility.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
