Manufacturing Operations Assistant - Byron Center MI

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Coordinator to join our team for the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7am to 4:30pm. In this role, you will support both the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager with a variety of operational tasks. Your responsibilities will include managing PM schedules, overseeing materials orders and deliveries, coordinating and scheduling employee trainings, and conducting time studies for production efficiency. A strong technical and operational critical thinking mindset is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Assist the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager with operational tasks and duties.

Work extensively within the CMM System to manage PM schedules, materials orders, and deliveries.

Coordinate and schedule training sessions for employees as needed.

Conduct studies on efficiencies and time for production output.

Set up production schedules and track rates and downtimes.

Ensure timely production with minimal defects and waste.

Essential Skills

At least 2 years of experience as an Operational Support, Coordinator, or Project Manager.

Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.

Experience with navigating and using a CMM system within manufacturing.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in industrial operations support and administrative support.

Work Environment

The work environment is similar to a large warehouse, not temperature controlled, and can be dusty or dirty due to dealing with shredded paper and pellets.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Byron Center, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
