Summary You will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will repair clutches, transmission systems, differentials, final drives, generators, governors, reduction gears, hydraulic systems, hydraulic and pneumatic braking systems, and more. You will install and align internal combustion engines, hoisting machinery and related equipment. You will repair, overhaul, and rebuild attachments and other utility systems on such equipment as bulldozers, road graders, rollers, power shovels, backhoes, stationary generators, patrol boats, and more. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, remove, adjust, modify, repair or replace defective components in such sub-systems as ignition, emission, electronic and computer-controlled systems, injection systems, or overhauling various mechanisms. You will use electrical-mechanical systems and interrelated components such as control modules, switches, actuators, sensors and wiring. You will independently accomplish various repairs, from minor tune-ups to complete frame up overhauls on all @types of equipment.
