Summary You will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER in the EXPEDITIONARY MAINTENANCE CENTER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will verify all requirements from supervisors on issues that arise in the process of performing required work You will perform journeyman duties of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic on a daily basis. You will perform work requirements with other employees and setting the pace while demonstrating proper work methods You will ensure plans, blueprints, materials and tools are available and stock is obtained from supply locations You will use electrical-mechanical systems and interrelated components such as control modules, switches, actuators, sensors and wiring. You will adherence to safety and housekeeping rules as required (for example, ensuring limits of safe machine operation are not exceeded and all tools are used properly) Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Is occasionally exposed to the possibility of receiving cuts, burns, skin irritations, bruises, electric shock and sprains while repairing/inspecting equipment.
