Summary You will serve as a Computer Scientist in the Systems Engineering and Integration Division, Modeling and Design Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. Responsibilities You will develop and coordinate Digital Thread Architecture and Implementation Plans and Processes for the organization that focuses on data management, integrity and availability to support readiness improvements across all NAVAIR Aviation Systems. You will seek funding for approved projects via all available channels (e.g. Office of Naval Research, OSD Rapid Fielding Office, SBIR funds, CNO Rapid Innovation Cell, Capital Improvement Program, FRCFT and Section 219 and 852 funds). You will utilize engineering disciplines and processes to plan, develop and manage all projects and reports on project status. You will establish project technical goals and objectives. You will develop cost and project estimates for resource requirements including information systems, database equipment, field support, or support contractors, and propose allocation of resources to ensure maximum efficiency. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (DP-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Planning, assigning, and evaluating tasks throughout the full life cycle of aviation systems and information management systems important to Naval aviation logistics management; (2) Managing digital engineering efforts across the total life cycle of the weapons systems and the relationship to acquisition and support strategies; (3) Using quantitative and analytical techniques to become familiar with drawing repositories, product life cycle management, or equivalent systems to improve efficiency, quality, and decision making; (4) Performing technical analysis and interpretation of data for comparison with applicable specifications and determination of suitability for innovation projects; and (5) Utilizing engineering disciplines and processes to plan, develop, and manage all projects and reports regarding project status and to establish technical goals and objectives.
