Summary YOU WILL SERVE AS AN ELECTRONICS ENGINEER IN THE DIGITAL ANALYTICS INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL ADVICE GROUP, INT BATTLESPACE SIMULATION AND TEST DEPARTMENT, INTEGRATED COMBAT ENVIRONMENTS DIVISION, ELECTRONIC COMBAT STIMULATION BRANCH OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. Responsibilities You will be responsible for all simulators for the competency, ensuring team members are properly coached to help them understand and apply new theoretical techniques to solve technical problems in support of T and E events. You will provide technical direction and senior leadership to engineering and technical staff. You will evaluate customer requirements, assists the customer in determining potential uses of ECSTIM assets, and supports the customer throughout the T and E process. You will develop and design new simulation/stimulation equipment and T and E procedures for properly evaluating and solving problems for the DoD programs implementing Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DP-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional ELECTRONICS ENGINEER performing duties such as: 1) Knowledge of multi-spectral environment generation, stimulation of installed avionics systems under test, and mission system performance and effectiveness testing; 2) Evaluate the feasibility and technical value of proposals and test configurations of other professionally mature engineers and scientists; 3) Demonstrating project management, resource allocation, budgeting, technical oversight and technical direction of test programs and development efforts; 4) Implement distributed simulation, installed systems testing, interoperability, Mission System testing, aircraft systems, training systems, and aircraft avionics systems; and 5) Determine test requirements and the verification, validation and accreditation (VV&A) of test configurations in an Installed Systems Test Facility (ISTF) and lab test environments. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-@type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
