This position will serve as the 4-H Afterschool Operations Coordinator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County. This position will provide assistance/support with organization, coordination, and management of all aspects of the 4-H Afterschool Programs administered by Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County (i.e. 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC), Extended School Day, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), BOOST and LEAPS). The 4-H Afterschool Programs provide comprehensive 4-H youth development opportunities for youth in grades pre-K-12 from the school districts. Primary responsibilities are to provide IT support to 4-H Afterschool staff, complete data entry in online platforms including, but not limited to: 4-H Online, City Span, Trans Act 21 and Salesforce, create program flyers and assist with the following: coordination of time and effort reporting, ordering, sorting and delivering program supplies, assisting with equipment inventory/restocking, interview and onboarding duties, coordinating substitutes for afterschool programming and program enrollment forms.

POSITION DETAILS:
This position is a full-time non-exempt position - 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $22.50. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, retirement, vacation, sick and personal leave.

Associate's Degree or Equivalent Education (High School Diploma/GED and one (1) year transferable program/functional experience).
Experience relevant to the role of the position.
Valid NYS driver's license and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Responsibilities:
Direction and Management - 10%
Assist in the planning and promotion of major public events and programs including, but not limited to: Program registration and assisting with mass media efforts related to upcoming events and programs.
Assist in identifying and recommending program needs (i.e. program supplies and materials).
Assist with problem solving and resolving issues that arise, as needed.
Coordination/Operation - 85%
Provide IT support to 4-H Afterschool staff.
Assist with the coordination of time and effort reporting.
Assist with ordering, delivering, and organizing program supplies - to include equipment items in the basement.
Assist with interviews and onboarding duties.
Assist with coordinating subs for afterschool programming.
Complete data entry in online platforms including, but not limited to: 4-H Online, Afterschool 21,City Span, TransAct, Pathwise, Salesforce, etc.
Create program flyers.
Assist with program enrollment forms.
Effectively maintain existing professional relationships with other agencies, organizations and businesses that promote effective communication and facilitate continued programming efforts.
Provide administrative assistance in the marketing and promotion of programming efforts to include, but not limited to: print media, news media, social media, and multi-media efforts.
Review, organize and compile 4-H Afterschool enrollment and program attendance data ensuring accuracy.
Provide administrative assistance in the completion of reports as required by the funding sources and/or the Association.
Professional Improvement and Other Duties as Assigned - 5%
In cooperation with Supervisor, 4-H Afterschool Director, Issue Leader and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes in programming and association priorities.
Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension including but not limited to attendance at staff meetings, timely reporting of expenses, working with other staff, general marketing of Extension programs and other duties as assigned.
Health and Safety - Applied to all duties and functions.
Support the Association to maintain a safe working environment.
Be familiar with and strive to follow any applicable federal, state, local regulations, Association health and safety policy/procedure/requirement and standard.
