We are hiring Entry-Level Security and Low Voltage Technicians to join a growing skilled trade with strong long-term career opportunities. This position begins with a structured five-week paid training program at a Training Pay Rate. After successful completion, technicians move to the full active technician pay rate and begin working independently in the field.
This role is ideal for individuals with blue-collar or mechanically oriented experience-such as construction, cable/telecom installation, maintenance, general labor, electrical helpers, or any role involving hands-on work-who want a stable career with advancement potential.

Position Overview
Technicians install and service residential security systems and low-voltage devices directly in customers' homes. This field-based role blends mechanical work, technology, customer service, and problem-solving.
No previous security alarm experience is required. We fully prepare each technician through our paid training program.
Paid Training Program
Duration: 5 Weeks
Week 1: Classroom training at the branch office
Week 2: Ride-along field observation with Senior technicians
Week 3: Hands-on installation work with supervision
Weeks 4-5: Continued guided field development until independent operation
After training, technicians begin working on their own at the full active pay rate.
Primary ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Installation Duties
Install and program residential burglar alarm systems
Install CCTV (IP and analog), DVRs, cameras, and access control devices
Install window/door sensors, smoke detectors, and related low-voltage components
Troubleshoot system and signal issues
Verify proper system functionality
Maintain accurate inventory and documentation
Customer-Facing Responsibilities
Communicate professionally with homeowners
Train customers on system operation and device connectivity
Complete all required paperwork for each job
Ensure customers' needs are fully resolved
Meet installation quality and performance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand/power tools
Experience in blue-collar, field-based, or hands-on roles
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Reliability, professionalism, and adaptability
Valid driver's license and dependable personal vehicle
Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in the field
Required Tools
Technicians must provide their own:
Ladder (full-size or folding/extension; folding preferred)
Screwdrivers
Electric drill
Wire cutters
Sheetrock hand saw
Tools do not need to be owned on day one but must be acquired early in employment.

Work Schedule
Schedule may be Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday
Overtime is allowed but not required
Workdays extend until the customer job is completed
Travel is primarily within the metro area, with some assignments up to a 2-hour radius
Mileage & Expense Information
Up to $100/week in gas reimbursement after training (with receipts)
Mileage exceeding 300 miles/week may be submitted for additional reimbursement
Ladders and tools are not eligible for reimbursement

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
