Our client is the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) and they are seeking a Computer Support Specialist. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in New York, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last 2 years with a pay rate of $30-35/hr. This is a in person position, so you must commute to New York, NY. Position Details - Computer Support Specialist

Location:NYC/Manhattan - Financial District

Hours:10:00am-6:00pm (Mon-Fri); some OT may be required

Duration:2-Year Contract (W-2 Only)

Pay Range: $30-35/hr Depending on experience

As a Computer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining computer systems, ensuring their efficient operation, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our technology infrastructure runs smoothly to support our daily operations.

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

Three years of experience in Information Technology and customer service, including:

IT customer support and training

Computer installation, diagnosis, and repair

Network & standalone printer installation, diagnosis & repair

Basic troubleshooting for scanners and other peripheral devices

Microsoft Office Suite troubleshooting / desktop support

Virtual meeting tools including MS Teams, Zoom, and WebEx

Windows 10 desktop support

VPN and remote technical support

Adobe Pro troubleshooting / desktop support

Jira and ServiceNow experience

Education Requirements

An Associate's Degree in Computer Science, information systems, management systems, information technology, or cybersecurity.

Additional Requirements

Proof of eligibility to work in NYS.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Performing installation, administration, testing, and maintenance of hardware and software;deploying and configuring hardware and software.

Participating in meetingsand working with users, vendors, consultants, and IT staff to discuss IT solution options and assist in recommending appropriate system platforms to meet program requirements.

Preparing and assisting with documentation, including procedural manuals, online help instructions for users, and technical documentation for IT staff; performing installation, administration, testing, and maintenance of hardware and software; deploying and configuring hardware and software; providing and administering training in hardware and software technologies.
