Senior Admin Clerk - Finance/MPEC

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to provide intermediate clerical and accounting support to the Multi-Purpose Event Center (MPEC) Finance function. This position supports daily financial operations by processing routine accounting transactions, preparing deposits, maintaining assigned accounts and records, assisting with receivables and collections activity, supporting cash handling for events, and preparing routine financial reports and documentation. Work is performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and internal controls, under the direction of the MPEC Controller.

Code Essential Functions 1 L Regular and reliable attendance in compliance with given schedules is a mandatory requirement of this position. Schedules may be subject to change with or without advance notice 2 S Processes routine accounting transactions, including preparing journal entries for internal events, unpaid revenues, deferred revenue, and clearing accounts, in accordance with established procedures and under supervision. 3 S Assists with cash handling and treasury support activities by preparing deposits, maintaining assigned cash vault balances, and preparing cash for MPEC events in compliance with internal controls. 4 S Supports accounts receivable activities by maintaining records, monitoring account balances, initiating routine collection follow-ups, and responding to customer billing inquiries. 5 S Pulls, reviews, and reconciles transaction reports from third-party systems (e.g., Square) and internal systems to support balancing and reconciliation activities. 6 S Prepares and maintains routine financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal use, audits, and regulatory reporting, including quarterly and periodic reports as assigned. 7 S Maintains accurate financial records and documentation; coordinates with internal departments to obtain required information and ensures compliance with record retention and internal control requirements.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: -Description of Minimum Job Requirements- Experience-Related Requirements Over three months and up to and including six months. Vocational/ Educational Preparation Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
