An intern develops a working knowledge of operations, policies, and procedures in a specific area of the bank during an internship period, and completes administrative and project-based tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develops knowledge and understanding of various segments of banks operations, policies and procedures through on-the-job training and by observing more experienced personnel. Completes assigned tasks and may assist with projects under supervisors direction by applying obtained knowledge and skills. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

COMPLIANCE EXPECTATIONS

Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations and complete all compliance training on time.

Knowledgeable of and comply with bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations that apply to you and your job.

Maintain customer confidence and protect the banks operations by identifying and protecting confidential information.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Student interns must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a degree or certification. Other internship candidates must have recommendation and approval from

the appropriate leaders of their organization or community.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Attention to detail required. Ability to handle confidential information, deadlines, and time constraints required. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (or similar)

programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING SKILLS:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Work is performed in a professional office environment.
