Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Assembler, where you will engage in line assembly operations involving the production and installation of trailer component parts and sub-assemblies. Your skills in reading a tape measure and experience with hand and power tools will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities

Use air, power, and hand tools to drill pre-established holes in aluminum and steel or attach aluminum and steel components, parts, and sub-assemblies together per written or oral instructions.

Position and assemble parts according to special instructions, routings, and blueprints.

Measure parts to specified tolerances.

Deburr, grind, and buff parts.

Inspect all parts for cleanliness and flaws, and complete a nonconforming material report if flaws exist.

Use chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks as required.

Caulk trailers and attach decals or other graphics on finished products.

Install doors and tires.

Maintain cleanliness in the assembly department by following 5's housekeeping guidelines.

Keep the production supervisor informed of work status, workload, problems, and progress related to work assignments.

Maintain a satisfactory high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Experience in assembly, hand tools, power tools, and production.

Ability to read blueprints and follow general labor procedures.

Proficiency in using a tape measure for assembling tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

Skill in operating basic hand tools.

Capability to read, write, and understand instructions, procedures, drawings, and blueprints.

Work Environment

Regular exposure to a manufacturing environment, including noise, dust, and hot or cold temperatures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cresco, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
