Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

REMOTE Opportunity - quarterly travel to Wisconsin required

Industry: Power Generation / Renewable Energy / Engineering

Contract: 6-12 months, with permanent hire at end of contract

Join a dynamic engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer , where you'll lead mechanical design from concept to installation for cutting-edge power and renewable energy projects. Ideal for engineers with a strong background in mechanical systems and a desire to work across the full project lifecycle-from sales support through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver mechanical design packages that meet project and contract specifications.

Support early project stages, including conceptual design and tender documentation.

Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers and CAD Designers to coordinate detailed designs.

Conduct pressure, temperature, flow, and heat transfer calculations.

Create and interpret P&IDs and size absorption chillers.

Participate in HAZOP and risk assessments.

Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.

Interface with clients and stakeholders to resolve engineering issues.

Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with experience in power generation (1-25 MW) or renewable natural gas sectors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD or similar tools.

Strong analytical, planning, and time management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and adaptability under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional engineering registration (PE or equivalent)

Experience in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems
