This position reports to:Automation Manager __ As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB\'s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements. You will be mainly accountable for: Assist with the deployment and integration of automation and robotic systems across the facility. Support Automation Engineers in configuring and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and SCADA systems. Install and commission field devices such as vision systems, picktolight technology, and various industrial sensors. Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment. Qualifications for the role: Currently enrolled in a bachelor\'s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or another relevant field in the United States. Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipnow and in the future. Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions. Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
