This position requires an employee to be onsite at 3200 Labore Rd, Ste 104, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

As the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator - Accommodations Lead, you will serve as the agency's lead administrator and subject matter expert for ADA compliance and related civil rights programs by coordinating, directing, and overseeing complex accommodation and modification programs, associated policies, staff work, and financial resources to ensure lawful, equitable, and effective access to employment, services, and programs.
Responsibilities include:
Provide direction and technical expertise in the development and implementation of DCT policies, procedures, and practices related to ADA compliance, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), religious accommodations, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, and other relevant state and federal civil rights laws.
Review, assess, and make decisions on requests for reasonable accommodation for employees, job applicants, and program participants, ensuring a fair and equitable process.
Develop and deliver ADA training programs to employees and leadership, ensuring ongoing awareness of compliance requirements and best practices.
Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is a modern behavioral health care system that includes a variety of programs, including residential and vocational services for individuals with serious mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders, and much more. We have clinical expertise, staff and facilities to care for patients and clients with complex conditions in safe, secure, and therapeutic settings across Minnesota. Minimum Qualifications
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Three years of experience in equal opportunity, affirmative action, ADA compliance, disability services, or related field, which provide an understanding of civil rights and/or nondiscrimination laws. Experience must demonstrate the following:
Interpretation and application of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other related laws and policies in relation to accommodation requests from applicants and employees.
Interpretation and application of Federal and State civil rights laws such as PWFA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, and other civil rights laws and regulations.
Research and analysis sufficient to make decisions and/or recommendations determining whether an accommodation is reasonable or an undue hardship.
Advising management and/or other professionals regarding the ADA employer compliance.
Developing and delivering training focused on ADA compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) or similar law degree from accredited law school.
Higher education degree in human resources, organizational management, or a related field.
ADA Coordinator Certificate or other related ADA certifications.
Knowledge of the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act.
Trained in mediation or alternative dispute resolution techniques.
