Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Responsibilities You will maintain financial management systems for administrative services (e.g., travel, contracting, budgeting, civilian personnel support). You will reconcile and manage accounts and accounting data in preparation of reports. You will analyze accounting records and financial reports to identify trends, discrepancies, or anomalies. You will review a variety of financial transactions (e.g., contracts, funding documents, travel vouchers, progress payments) for compliance with agency standards. You will develop financial processes to promote compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DON), and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) regulations. You will analyze accounting records and financial reports to identify trends, discrepancies, or anomalies Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing account maintenance and accounting support requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems (i.e. SABRS, STARS-FL), Financial Management Regulations (FMR) or applicable policies, and procedures to examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile financial accounts, accounting data, and reports.
