Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER (Deputy Comptroller) in the Comptroller Group of COMFRC of Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters, Patuxent River MD. Responsibilities You will make recommendations on major questions, controversial points and related matters bearing on command systems for managerial accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. You will review, analyze and report on program accomplishments in financial terms. You will determine and describe to management officials the effects which planned changes in overall policy and practices will have upon established budgets, the integrity of funds, the rate and balance of obligations and expenditures. You will direct coordination and synthesis of financial management data to interpret composite financial results of COMFRC operations to all levels of management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and implementing effective financial processes and procedures consistent with applicable laws, regulations and policies (advanced financial management); 2) Analyzing financial data to provide valuable insights to command leadership (financial management and reporting analysis); 3) Developing accurate justifiable budget estimates and allocating financial resources effectively to meet command goals and strategy (financial stewardship); 4) Formulating and implementing initiatives to either mitigate current problems or advance the long-term interests of the organization (problem solving, strategic thinking).
