Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will excel in managing high-volume invoice processing, possess advanced technology skills, and demonstrate exceptional communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

Process a large volume of accounts payable invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

Review, code, and input invoices into the accounting system while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Reconcile supplier statements and promptly address discrepancies to maintain positive vendor relationships.

Coordinate payment runs, ensuring all required documentation and approvals are in place.

Provide thorough and timely responses to vendor and internal inquiries regarding accounts payable matters.

Organize and maintain records of payable transactions to support audits and compliance requirements.

Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP, for data analysis and reporting.

Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and maintain timely invoice management. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.

Proven ability to efficiently handle high-volume invoice processing.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.

Strong aptitude for technology and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.

Availability to start immediately in a long-term contract position.
