Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Gardena, California. This Contract to permanent position involves supporting daily accounting operations, including handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely vendor payments.

Manage accounts receivable operations by preparing invoices, recording payments, and assisting with collections as needed.

Prepare detailed auction settlement statements and oversee payment disbursements.

Collaborate with various departments to address billing discrepancies and ensure proper expense coding.

Respond to consignors regarding payment inquiries and details in a courteous manner.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

Maintain and organize financial documentation following company policies and standards.

Provide administrative support to the Controller and finance team for various tasks and projects.

Contribute to audit preparation and assist with special projects as assigned. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

3-7 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in retail, entertainment, or auction industries.

Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
