A Day in the Life
In this role, you will be part of the AME team, and will support the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes that enable high-quality, life-changing products for our patients. You will apply engineering fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance product performance, improve manufacturing methods, and reduce costs in a systematic and inclusive way. You will also collaborate with internal teams across R&D, manufacturing, quality, and global partners as well as with external suppliers.

In this role, you will:
Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience OR
Advanced Degree with 0 years of related work experience
Nice to Have: Preferred Requirements
Manufacturing, medical device, or regulated industry experience.
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools.
Familiarity with basic statistical analysis or statistical software.
Experience supporting hands-on engineering work such as troubleshooting, equipment setup, or process experiments.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, technicians, and production teams.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$81,600.00 - $122,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
