Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years in MEP Design Engineering. The role involves leading and managing projects across various sectors including critical environment healthcare designs, energy performance, and large public infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing HVAC and MEP systems, conducting site surveys, and collaborating with architects and clients to seamlessly integrate these systems into building designs.

Responsibilities

Lead the project team in designing and developing HVAC and MEP systems for commercial and institutional projects.

Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for system design and retrofitting.

Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC and MEP systems into building designs.

Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation tools for accurate designs and calculations.

Perform energy modeling and analysis to optimize system performance and ensure compliance with energy codes and standards.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Manage project design budgets and schedules.

Essential Skills

10+ years of experience in MEP Design Engineering.

Proficiency in Revit design and AutoCAD.

Experience in project management with client-facing responsibilities.

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, and mechanical design.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of NJ International Building Codes.

Ability to design model elements.

Proven track record of managing and designing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Hybrid work schedule- 3 days- have to be in on Wednesdays tuition reimbursement PTO/HOliday- get it from Day 1 Benefits- get after 30 days 401k - 50% match- get after 90 days Every employee can buy GISI stock- parent company Cap or PTO at 4 weeks- includes sick
