Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Racine, Wisconsin. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes in a fully onsite, paper-driven environment. The role is expected to last 2-3 months, with the potential for extension or transition to a long-term position.

Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of invoices weekly, ranging from 100-200 invoices.

Perform thorough three-way matching involving invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.

Accurately code invoices and enter them into the general ledger system.

Manage invoice entry using Epicor 10.1/10.2 (On-Premise version).

Execute weekly check runs and ensure timely payments.

Investigate and resolve vendor discrepancies with professionalism.

Maintain organized and accessible paper files to support manual processing workflows.

Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment statuses and inquiries.

Provide limited support for accounts receivable tasks, including cash applications and account research.

Collaborate with the accounting team to address general accounting needs as required. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable roles.

Proven ability to process high volumes of invoices, ideally 100+ weekly.

Strong knowledge and application of three-way matching processes.

Experience with Epicor systems, preferably version 10.1 or 10.2.

Comfort with manual, paper-based accounting workflows.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in an onsite environment.
