Job Description:

Employees are responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment.

Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.

Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.

Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Functions:

Assemble various mechanical devices using drawings, work instructions, operation sheets, and / or schematics.

Perform trouble-shooting tasks as required.

Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.

Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.

Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

Ensure that all shop instruments used are within calibration due dates.

Fabricate shop aids and fixtures, as required.

Set-up and operate various pieces of shop equipment as required to accomplish assembly tasks.

Mix and apply various sealants and adhesives and ensure shelf-life integrity.

Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing principles within an environment of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Ability to obtain US Security Clearance

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $22.84/hr - $42.55/hr. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $19.95/hr - $33.78. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule @type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
