Summary Main business operations support for the Chief of Staff Service Line at VA Western New York Healthcare System. This position supports the Chief of Staff by analyzing clinical and administrative operations, identifying system gaps, and coordinating process improvements across service lines. This position assists with strategic planning, and implementing organizational initiatives to ensure efficient, high-quality healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Duties: - Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of operations in meeting established goals. Specifically reviews clinic access, clinic utilization, provider productivity and referral patterns. - Interprets and formulates implementation plans for directive changes and action items impacting the Chief of Staff line. - Performs administrative work related to personnel management, financial management and clinical contracts. - Develops and coordinates internal review systems to ensure that both clinical and administrative activities comply with agency and accrediting requirements. - Conducts special projects and provides recommendations on administrative issues. - Advises leadership on position management, workload distribution, and staffing needs. - Develops major organizational proposals and analyzes workforce or functional changes. - Reviews and analyzes programs and functions at the regional level. - Prepares information for congressional inquiries - Recommends corrective actions based on data analysis. - Performs program cost reviews including make/buy analyses and community care expenditure reviews. - Supervises administrative services within clinical or medical service areas. - Assesses resource needs and recommends redistribution strategies. - Develops short- and long-range organizational plans aligned with facility needs. - Evaluates and adjusts organizational structures and systems to meet program goals. - Stays up to date on available data sources including pyramid, powerBI and palantir. - Performs other assigned duties.
