Summary You will serve as an SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12. Responsibilities You will serve as an Administrative Technical Specialist/Security Specialist under Code 1051 Personnel and Information Security Branch. You will manage the Information Security (INFOSEC) program, providing expert guidance and support to NSWC PHD and industrial contractors to safeguard National Security Information (NSI) throughout its lifecycle. You will develop, implement, and manage the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) programs, ensuring appropriate handling and protection in accordance with regulatory requirements. You will conduct preliminary inquiries into security incidents involving CUI and classified information, thoroughly reviewing infractions, violations, and practices that pose a risk to national security. You will recommend further investigations, corrective actions, and policy revisions to remediate identified security vulnerabilities and strengthen overall security posture. You will collaborate with relevant authorities to investigate potential loss or compromise of information, conduct thorough damage assessments, and analyze collected data to inform mitigation strategies. You will conduct comprehensive inspections, surveys, and risk assessments at command, detachment, and off-site locations to evaluate INFOSEC program implementation and identify areas for improvement across all echelons. You will monitor and analyze policy, instruction, procedure, and control system updates to ensure continuous alignment with evolving security threats and regulatory changes. You will ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. Government security policies, standards, and requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Implementing and monitoring security requirements to develop security plans for facilities, locking devices, gates, and monitor physical and information security protection system programs (e.g., PHYSEC, INFOSEC, OPSEC, ATFP, EM/COOP) for the effectiveness and efficiency of established security program.
