Summary The selectee for this position will serve as the Community Liaison Officer (CLO)in the Community Planning and Liaison Office (CP&LO) of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA. Responsibilities You will provide technical advice on land use issues to off-station organizations. You will prepare real estate documents (i.e., leases, easements, use agreements etc.) You will plan courses of action, prepare interpretive correspondence and issue papers on matters that may affect the Command mission. You will develop position papers, station regulations, legislative initiatives to facilitate land use actions or to counter encroachment issues that may affect the Command mission. You will review local development actions or land use plans slated in close proximity to the station and recommend a Command response. You will serve as the station spokesperson at off-station public briefings or meetings. You will manage the MCAS Yuma Installations Compatible Use Zones (AICUZ) and Range Air Installations Compatible Use Zones (RAICUZ) Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education Additional Information The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.
