The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Enterprise Systems Engineer for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity in
either
El Segundo, CA
or Colorado Springs, CO.
The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division
leverages
a broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.
As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS), the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integrates

What
You'll
Provide enterprise engineering and analytical support todefense, intelligence community, and civilgovernment customersinportfolio management,digitalengineering,andenterprisesystems engineering
Engagedirectly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers
Support the deployment or implementation of existing tools, models,and frameworks
Identifynew capabilities and enhancements that will better support the customerprograms and architectures
Supportstudies designed to solvecomplexproblems and provide newandinnovativetechnical solutions
Take initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action
Utilize Aerospace resources, teams, andexpertiseon the effective use of MBSE methodologies, modeling languages, and tools
Leadand supportstudies designed to solve technical problemstoprovide recommendations to the customer
Leverage Aerospace's technicalbackplaneto provide tailored,technical support and innovative solutions for customer-specific use cases
Provide ongoing technical consultation and advice to management, customers, and contractors
Provide mentoring andoversight toearly career staff,as necessary
Occasional travel may berequired
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline
4yearsof increasingly responsible experienceinsystems engineering or other space-related engineering disciplines
Experience in systems engineering, enterprise systems engineering,model-based systems engineering,and/or digital engineering
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Take initiative, have flexibility, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and well adept at oral and written communication
Available and willing to travel domestically,approx. 5-10%
In addition to the above, the
minimum
:
8yearsof increasingly responsible experienceinsystems engineering or other space-related engineering disciplines
Proficient with MBSE modeling languagessuch as System Modeling Language (SysML)and toolssuch as Cameo Systems Modeler,SparXEnterprise Architecture, andRhapsody
Experience with architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline
Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost,scheduleand risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development
Experience with and/or working knowledge of the Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) span of technical capabilities and organizational construct
Experience withDoDsystems engineering and programmatic processes, methods, tools, and personnel
Experience briefing senior Government leaders (General Officer and/or SES/SIS)
Active TS//SCI security clearance
