Job Title: Assembly Technician-Defense

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician in the defense sector, you will be responsible for performing sheet metal and composite assembly for the production of stealth aircraft, fighter jets, and military helicopters. Your role will involve completing riveting, drilling, and countersinking to install components and fasteners for the fuselage. Additionally, you will be required to seal aircraft structures and components, self-inspect components and assemblies, including frames and skins, and perform rework when necessary.

Responsibilities

Perform sheet metal and composite assembly for stealth aircraft, fighter jets, and military helicopters.

Complete riveting, drilling, and countersinking to install components and fasteners for the fuselage.

Seal aircraft structures and components.

Self-inspect components and assemblies, performing rework when necessary.

Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in assembly, production, drilling, riveting, and countersinking.

Experience with sheet metal and composite aircraft assembly.

Active Secret Clearance.

Sealing and fuel cell skills.

Sheet metal repair expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Active Secret Clearance with status check required.

2+ years of aircraft structures experience.

Flexibility on shift schedules (primarily 1st or 2nd, with openness to other shifts).

Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including some weekends.

Preferred: 4+ years of aircraft structures experience.

Work Environment

You will be working at a manufacturing facility for the defense sector, primarily on the first or second shift, with flexibility required for other shifts. The environment is dynamic, supporting the production of cutting-edge military aircraft.

Pay: $45/hour

Per diem package available to those who qualify!

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
