Oversee regulatory compliance for Facility Operations, ensuring workflow integrity, life safety standards, and code compliance across assigned facilities. Lead and support regulatory staff, manage inspections and documentation, and implement processes that keep facilities survey-ready. Partner with leadership on operational and capital budgets, resolve complex compliance issues, and drive regulatory system and vendor improvements. Requires strong independent judgment and the ability to lead in high-pressure situations impacting one or multiple facilities.
Schedule : Monday through Friday working 8AM to 5PM. Travel to all locations, primarily West Phoenix, is mandatory. Three years of experience maintaining fire/life safety equipment and programs is a must.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the regulatory functions of Facility Operations, which includes workflow and operational integrity of the facility regulatory compliance. This position advises the assigned regulatory staff ensuring all tasks are completed timely and accurately, lending expertise when needed.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Assists in training and directs workflow for regulatory technician staff. This position is also accountable for participating in the development and implementation of system regulatory goals and objectives. Ensures all regulatory goals and objectives are met and ensures regulatory compliance for all assigned responsibilities and equipment.
Assists upper management in working with department personnel on departmental budgetary planning and management for budgetary control, cost projections, and feasibility for all related activities and projects.
Participates in review of fire management plan for assigned areas.
Ensures regulatory compliance, and compliance with work standards, codes and safety regulations for each facility assigned. Develops and implements processes for regulatory compliance in all areas of responsibility.
Evaluates and resolves complex regulatory-related issues and makes recommendations to the department management.
Provides support to all regulatory building inspections related to life safety and fire prevention. Provides budget recommendations to correct regulatory deficiencies.
Assists with regulatory initiatives, regulatory application reviews, beta testing of regulatory applications and processes, regulatory vendor reviews and workflows. Provides recommendations for regulatory applications, regulatory vendor workflows and processes.
Reviews all regulatory documentation for accuracy, correct inspection frequency and completeness. Ensures all regulatory documentation is uploaded into the compliance manager platform for each facility assigned in a timely manner.
Develops and implements protocols for regulatory compliance of all assigned areas of responsibility including fire life safety and code compliance using sound independent decision making. This position ensures the operational integrity of their assigned regulatory facility responsibilities. Ability to respond to rapidly changing and escalating emergent situations with the ability to lead, give direction quickly and provide sound decision making in highly stressful situations. This position is accountable for decisions that impact regulatory issues for an entire facility. The span of control is dependent on the situation and ranges from a single facility to multiple facilities in an area. This position has defined control and responsibility of regulatory and capital budgetary responsibilities. (Individual regulatory budgetary responsibilities range from $1M - $13M / year. Individual capital budgetary responsibilities range from $250K - $5M / year). Customers for this position are any patient, visitor, staff, physician, or any individual that accesses or uses the facility.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in related business discipline to area assigned or obtained through years of experience related to the facilities services regulatory environment (life safety and environment of care).
Three years of experience maintaining fire/life safety equipment and programs.
Must possess a working knowledge of fire, life safety and building codes, regulatory agencies and requirements. Basic knowledge of computers, including standard office software programs. Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic mathematical skills. Must be able to read, understand and work from blueprints. Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strongly prefer an Associate's Degree in facility management or related field. 4+ years of relevant experience. Certified Healthcare Facility Manager. Certified Facility Manager. Any applicable healthcare or regulatory industry related certifications or credentials.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
