Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage high-volume invoice processing and ensure the accuracy of vendor payments in a dynamic commercial real estate environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and a keen attention to detail to support our growing accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Perform detailed matching, batching, and coding of over 600 invoices each month.

Oversee weekly check runs, adhering to established procedures and timelines.

Post monthly accounts payable accrual entries with precision and attention to detail.

Serve as the primary liaison between vendors, project managers, and the accounting department.

Accurately process employee expense reports and maintain tracking records using Microsoft Excel.

Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, including ACH transactions.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments.

Familiarity with check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of invoices.

Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal teams.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
