Job Summary:

The position is primarily responsible for communication, accounting, training new and existing team members, and payroll duties. Responsible for supervision and support of the GHBC dining venues and FOH and BOH team members to ensure meal services run smoothly and efficiently.

The position is 11am-7pm on Tuesdays-Saturdays, including holidays.

The pay is hourly

Job Duties:

Helps maintain accounting, inventory, and other written records for department.

Performs all clerical, administrative duties (i.e. @types, copies and files written materials). Responsible for producing and distributing menus and signage.

Reviews and assists with employee timekeeping records and leave requests for payroll.

Answers department telephone, E-mail and responds accordingly.

Inventories and orders office supplies and other food items as necessary.

Takes dining room reservations and communicates to Dining Services Leadership.

Demonstrates leadership in the educational process of all DS employees and improves outcomes through the preparation and on-going in-service education.

Evaluates and provides instruction on competency of DS employees during orientation and annually thereafter.

Provides orientation/education based on results of needs assessments/level of competency and on DS standards.

Is responsible for maintaining annual mandatory educational records and ensuring that classes are offered that meet the requirements for DS employees. Notifies Assist. Director of DS or designee about scheduled education sessions and attendance concerns.

Initiates and maintains educational records (Relias/ LMS system) for all DS employees.

Provides supervision to DS employees as indicated.

Serves as a liaison with department managers in planning seminars, workshops, educational programs and related activities.

Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent required. At least two years' experience in CCRC dining services, restaurant, or hotel.

Computer skills required. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, TEAMS and other resources provided by Goodwin Living.

Must have organized office skills and excellent communication skills.

Must have current Serve-Safe certification.

Must have at least 2 years of Health Care/Assisted Living dining service experience.

Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
