The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior program analyst, providing management controls over Air Force Readiness Reporting systems and processes of the Directorate of Operations (A3). Responsibilities 1. Manages and performs operations planning, scheduling, readiness and execution activities in support of Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN). 2. Serves as AFIMSC's advisor for the Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES) Program and related Joint and Air Force war planning and execution systems. 3. Serves as planner, coordinator, and advisor for AFIMSC regarding Joint and Air Force contingency and crisis action planning and readiness activities/processes. 4. Serves as a subject matter expert of the Department of Defense, Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) programs. 5. Serves as Functional Area Manager (FAM) or alternate FAM for a Logistics Readiness skill set. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes managing and performing operations planning, scheduling, and execution in support of the organization; utilizing war planning systems to manage and verify deployment taskings; serving as an advisor for contingency and crisis action planning; managing readiness reporting; and acting as a Functional Area Manager (FAM) to posture forces and manage Unit Type Codes (UTCs) for worldwide operational support. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge and understanding of all phases of Air Force Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) operations planning and execution. 2. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to resolve issues or perform studies concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of command readiness program operations. 3. Experience with and understanding of AF war planning systems and their relationship to the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES). 4. Extensive knowledge and function of the Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES) planning system and AEF Online applications. 5. Working knowledge and understanding of the role and activities of the Functional Area Manager (FAM) at Air Staff, AFIMSC, and MAJCOM levels. 6. Knowledge and application of the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) and JOPES. 7. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) construct. 8. Knowledge and understanding of contingency war planning, operations readiness and deployment processes. 9. Skills in written and oral communication; preparing briefings and/or presentations for senior level staff and higher headquarters. 10. Skills in conducting evaluations, developing scenarios, and providing feedback to evaluated functions. 11. Ability to plan and execute complex projects. 12. Ability to recognize/analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results and make appropriate recommendations.
