Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing processes within a precision machinery and assembly environment. You will play a crucial role in supporting new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring designs are manufacturable, repeatable, and cost-effective.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for a precision machinery and assembly environment.

Support NPI by ensuring designs are manufacturable, repeatable, and cost-effective.

Analyze production data to identify process variation, yield loss, and efficiency opportunities.

Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Support implementation and validation of new equipment, tooling, and fixtures.

Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause corrective actions.

Create and maintain standard work, routings, work instructions, and process documentation.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.

Working knowledge of CNC machining, precision assembly, and manufacturing processes.

3+ years of experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in an industry regulated manufacturing environment.

Mixed background in both electrical/electronic systems and mechanical systems.

Work Environment

This role will split time between the production floor (50%) and a desk environment (50%). Daily production meetings are part of the routine, and the role requires significant interaction with other team members for investigations and problem-solving focused on continuous improvement to save time and money.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Painesville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
