Serve as Principal Architect and Project Manager for all University

design requests, including new construction and renovations.

Work directly with commissioned Architectural and Engineering firms,

making design and construction decisions on behalf of the University.

Review contracts on behalf of the Board of Trustees.

Serve as the Building Code Authority for the University (all

campuses).

Act as the primary point of contact for client communications.

Supervise Architects, Construction Project Coordinators, Project

Engineers, Drafters, and assigned student staff.

Ensure work products are efficient, effective, and compliant with

governing regulations and standards.

Establish schedules, budgets, and tracking mechanisms to manage

scope and ensure timelines and clients\' needs are met.

Support modernization of systems and processes to promote agile and

effective project management.

Serve as University liaison with the Capital Development Board

(CDB).

Design, estimate and partner with SIUE resources to implement

renovation and modification projects internally managed by the Facilities Management Unit.

\ FLSA: Exempt\ \ Minimum Acceptable Qualifications\ \

A Bachelors degree in architecture, campus planning or a related

field OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required for licensure

Licensed Architect in compliance with AIA, NCARB and applicable

state licensure requirements; must obtain Illinois state specific license within 3 months of hire.

5+ years of experience in architectural project management

5+ years of experience managing multiple and diverse capital

projects

3+ years of experience in supervising architecture, construction,

and design personnel\ Note: The required years of experience for minimum acceptable qualifications can be concurrent.

\ \ Preferred Qualifications\

Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois

Graduate or professional degree in architecture, campus planning or related field

University work experience
