The Tech@Lilly team is actively seeking an experienced SAS Platform Administrator.

What You'll Be Doing:
You will serve as the operational backbone for our statistical computing landscape, ensuring SAS 9 Grid, R/Posit, and JMP desktop environments remain secure, performant, compliant, and highly available. You will work closely with platform engineering, InfoSec, IT infrastructure, and analytics users to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and long-term platform health.
How You'll Succeed:
You will administer and optimize SAS 9 Grid , including metadata servers, compute nodes, workload management, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
You will operate R/Posit environments (Workbench, Connect, Package Manager), ensuring reliable access, upgrades, package governance, and reproducibility.
You will manage JMP desktop deployments , including licensing, distribution, and integration with identity groups.
You will integrate platforms with enterprise IAM (AD/LDAP/SSSD), enabling secure access and enforcing RBAC.
You will automate operations using Bash, Python, and configuration management tooling (Ansible/Terraform preferred).
You will collaborate with GIS infrastructure teams to support Linux (RHEL), networking, storage, and certificate management (TLS/PKI).
You will support backup/restore, DR validation, and change-controlled updates aligned with regulated-industry expectations.
You will provide operational support, lead incident troubleshooting, and drive root-cause analysis with strong documentation discipline.
What You Should Bring:
Familiarity with regulated environments (life sciences, pharma, healthcare).
Cloud knowledge (AWS or Azure) and hybrid infrastructure experience.
Prior experience with Posit/RStudio products, SAS administration, or JMP at scale.
Proficiency in Linux (RHEL), automation (Bash/Python/Ansible/Terraform), and CI/CD workflows.
Ability to diagnose performance issues across distributed analytics workloads.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Experience partnering with InfoSec, compliance, or validation teams.
Linux Administration - Server setup & monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting
Demonstrated experience with upgrades, configuration, monitoring, and enterprise deployments.
Experience supporting enterprise BI operations, migrations, DR planning, and governance frameworks.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
Strong documentation skills for Security and CSQA compliance.
Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma with 5+ years of platform/system administration experience.
Experience with SAS Grid Platform Administration - SAS 9.4 Grid on Linux and Viya 4.0 on AWS EKS
Experience with SAS Desktop tools (SAS EG, PC SAS) installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of SAS Viya cloud deployments and administration.
Knowledge of JMP tool, R administration.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$64,500 - $184,800
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
