Job Summary
Battelle's National Security Division is seeking a Logistician II to work full time, on-site, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Camp Pendleton, California; Albany, Georgia; and Okinawa, Japan (Camp Foster). These personnel will assist the Field Service Team (FST) in supply chain related activities and support inventory management requirements relating to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense (CBRND) equipment and supplies in direct support of Marine Corps Systems Command and Logistics Command to provide sustainment services to the Fleet Marine Force.
The successful candidate will support the government and contractor team. Tasks assigned will primarily include, but not limited to accountability, asset identification, warehousing, transacting in Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) and Enterprise Management System to ensure 100% accountability of CBRND items in compliance with Department of War/Marine Corps materiel management policy. The ideal candidate will benefit from a Marine Corps Supply (30XX) background and must be a self-starter, with the demonstrated ability to operate independently or as part of a high performing team.
Responsibilities
Serve as a Supply Analyst with inventory management responsibilities to ensure total asset visibility and perform duties to support CBRN Field Service Technicians with required repair parts and consumables needed to sustain the Fleet Marine Force CBRN military equipment.
Transact in in GCSS-MC (eg: sub-inventory transfers, gain/loss adjustment packages, receipts, material redistributions, supply requisitions, Service Request management, disposals) and managing inventory levels using GCSS-MC, conducting inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies within official accounting reports and actual physical inventories.
Perform technical research to identify items (eg: FEDLOG, WebFLIS, LDART) and obtain information for routine and moderately complex reports
Conduct causative research on supply discrepancies
Conduct receipt, store and issue of inventory items
Conduct spot, cyclic and annual inventory of CBRND items
Provide accountability, inventory and supply reports, as required
Submits commercial purchase and transportation requests on behalf of the Field Service Team
Work may be of a critical or confidential nature and require broad knowledge of Department of War policies and Marine Corps materiel management processes
Performs a variety of other coordinating duties in support of specialized departmental goals
Identifies potential areas of process improvements and coordinates efforts to implement solutions
Key Qualifications
7+ years experience in Supply Chain Management
Significant experience transacting in Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC)
Ability to lift 50 lbs in general storage and warehousing tasks
Ability to hold a DOW Secret Security Clearance
High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on-site at government client locations
Knowledge/Experience with Marine Corps Supply/Inventory/Materiel Management processes and procedures
Knowledge/Experience managing a Demand Supported Items (DSI) inventory
Knowledge/Experience with Enterprise Management System (EMS) and TDM-Catalyst
Knowledge/Experience with Microsoft Office applications, with moderate Excel skills
Knowledge of Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), previously known as Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS)
Certification in Lean Six Sigma
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and maintain effective working relationships with government staff
