This position will be part of the Enterprise Services team, which delivers a full suite of services to state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions, and many central services to local government partners.
This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, and maintaining batch processing workflows within Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) production environment. The role ensures that batch jobs are scheduled, documented, and executed accurately and on time by creating and maintaining schedules, operational instructions, and recovery procedures.
The incumbent works closely with internal staff and partner agencies to analyze system workflows, develop and modify batch jobs, troubleshoot processing issues, and support changes to applications and processing environments. The position also serves as a resource to customers and Production Control staff by providing information, assistance, and training related to batch processing tools and procedures.
This position requires an employee to be onsite at 600 North Robert Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience in supporting production batch processing or production operations.
Experience must include:
Experience creating or maintaining batch job schedules or workflows in a production environment.
Experience troubleshooting batch job failures or processing issues to meet operational schedules.
Experience creating or maintaining operational or technical documentations related to batch processing or production support.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experience.
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master's degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor's degree for one (1) year; and an associate's degree for six (6) months.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using an enterprise workload automation or job scheduling tool (e.g., CA-7 or equivalent).
Experience with batch job control or scripting concepts, such as dependencies, restarts, or recovery procedures.
Experience supporting production control or enterprise operations environments.
Experience coordinating batch processing across multiple systems or platforms.
Experience providing training or technical guidance to other staff.
Experience testing or supporting upgrades to production tools or systems.
Experience supporting test-to-production migrations or change processes.
