Overview

Provide operational, service and administrative leadership or assistance to the branches within a given market.? Supports market, branch managers and branch team members, to achieve financial, sales and audit goals by maintaining operational and administrative policies and procedures, and service delivery.? Oversees float/on-call team to provide proper coverage in the market ensuring seamless branch functionality and customer experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure Branch Compliance with adherence to established policies and procedures.

Lead Branch Assessment process at all market branches annually

Lead full branch cash counts process at all market branches annually

Review and monitor Reg CC.

Create and send closing letters for accounts with overdraft, BSA or other regulatory concerns.

Responsible for decisioning:

Policy and procedures inquiries,

Teller differences reconciliation,

Emergency staffing coverage,

Legal document inquiries, with support

Approve higher level transactions within authority limits in accordance with Tompkins' policies. (e.g. wire approval for branch personnel)

Resolve customers concerns elevated to Branch Administration including research and appropriate response

Direct and manage assigned team:

Coordinate float/on-call coverage for branches as needed

Perform quarterly reviews as required.

Provide development and training for team members

Coordinate, facilitate and document minutes for retail banking management meetings.

Project planning management role for the new opening, relocating or permanent closing of branches and/or ATMs, including proper documentation to the appropriate federal agencies.

Oversee monthly general ledger (GL) reconciliation process

Maintain the foreign currency portal:

Manage user accounts

Reconcile GL account

Manage the Community Banking Operations Responsibilities including:

Balance general ledger accounts of teller cash and assist in proper disposition of differences.

Establish and monitor cash limits for each branch.

Work as liaison with armored carrier for branch cash deliveries

Process invoices, including generating invoices for Money Service Business customers

Review branch manuals and procedures

Coordinate rate changes internally

Oversee management and controls of electronic vault lock access across market

Work collaboratively within Community Banking teams to streamline processes, work on projects, and maintain compliance across the retail banking department.

Works with senior staff to resolve complex issues and analysis

Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company's compliance with all regulatory requirements; ensure that branch staff adhere to the same.

Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of four (4) years' experience in retail branch operations.

Preferred experience in specialized banking functions (e.g. audit, training, etc.)

Previous management experience preferred

Strong interpersonal relations and communication skills (verbal & written)

Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
