JOB REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in machining, fabrication and estimating is useful in this position. Knowledge and background of how to quote machined parts and weldments. Willing to train the right individual. Receive RFQ\'s (Requests for Quote) from Customers; complete Quote Contract Review for capability, build quotes in Job Boss and complete routings. Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately quote products. Complete formal quote in Job Boss and send to the customer with current lead times. Field all quote questions / concerns by the customer, negotiate, and advise the customer accordingly. Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing leadership / scheduling to prevent scheduling over capacity on work centers and customer lead times. Update quote, routings, and pricing. Confirm pricing updates and acknowledgements with customers per the received ECN. Essential Physical Requirements Visual acuity (corrected) required for inspecting work and reading written material, blueprints, work orders, etc. Skills and Abilities Proficient at blueprint interpretation including GD&T recognition; ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, layouts and technical / non- technical information Evaluate and execute an effective quote to continue revenue for the company. Proficient in math and ability to competently apply it to the quoting process. Must be able to communicate and interact successfully with BMF employees, customers, and the team of BMF. Must be able to work and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced team environment, but also be able to work independently with minimal supervision. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Willing to train right candidate with minimum 5 yrs fabrication or machining experience. High School Diploma or GED Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
