GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position will manage and administer the Family and Children's programs within the Wyoming Medicaid program including management of the day to day operations which includes; reviewing and interpreting federal and state rules and regulations, outreach, client complaints, program development, training, review and coordination of foster care cases and child support enforcement to ensure accuracy of both new and ongoing cases whether determinations are made by state staff or contracted staff and to ensure Wyoming residents are receiving the benefits they are entitled to in a timely manner.

Program planning and development of long and short term changes to the Family and Children's coverage groups within the Medicaid program.
Program Management and Administration of the Family and Children's coverage groups within the Medicaid program, pursuant to Federal and State Regulations as well as following agency mission and goals.
Technical Assistance, Training and Audits of the Family and Children's coverage groups.
Program Reporting and Analysis related to the Medicaid Family and Children's coverage groups.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's Degree.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of State and Federal Government functions, procedures, concepts, principles, and practices of professional healthcare administration; policies and procedures established for the work system; Medicaid programs, law, and regulatory structure.
The ability to comprehend Federal regulations, state statutes, program rules, and policy.
Able to interpret and integrate the foregoing into Administrative Rules, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of the Business Management System and the Eligibility System, and their application to Medicaid programs.
Ability to examine data and reports for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with regulations.
Oral and written communication skills to communicate with a broad range of audiences, including clients, administrators, legislators, contractors, and staff.
Ability to communicate Medicaid program information and policy to public and private entities.
Ability to consider current and future program goals in developing and coordinating changes.
Ability to evaluate outcomes in relation to program and agency goals and reason through possible future conditions, consider alternatives, and prepare contingency plans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Benefits and Eligibility) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Senior Benefits and Eligibility Specialist
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Benefits and Eligibility) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Senior Benefits and Eligibility Specialist

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
