We are seeking an innovative and experienced engineering leader to join the Software team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading software engineering projects that make silicon come to life. Our software work spans from bringing new platforms to market to building developer tools that help developers get the most from those platforms. You will lead software engineering teams that deliver innovation, performance, engineering productivity and quality at a predictable cadence. You will nurture and develop teams of experienced engineers across multiple software projects and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Change Agent: Challenge existing assumptions around all areas of engineering. how work is structured, which projects we build and why, etc. Aligns the organization around impactful goals and aspirations.

Cross-team collaboration: Partners with product and engineering organizations to interpret product definitions and requests, focusing on the highest value work for the organization and our customers.

Engineering discipline: Create consistent, efficient, user-loved products by balancing technical excellence with deep understanding of business needs, user experience, and iterative processes to deliver significant impact.

Mentorship and development: Excellent leadership skills in talent development, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, high-impact work environment. Mentor engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

15 years of experience including 10 years leading software engineering teams

5 years of experience in AI, machine learning, next-generation technology development, and systems engineering

Extensive experience leading engineering teams, set strategic goals, drive execution, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with compiler and library engineering, system profiling, debugger engineering, and workload analysis.

Business group:

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $233,990.00-383,460.00 USD

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
