Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing company in Littleton, MA to bring on a temp Mechanical Design Engineer. This position is full time with opportunities for overtime.

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay: $35-$40 per hour, depending on experience

Duties / Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks, with a focus on tooling, fixtures, housings, and detailed mechanical assemblies

Create detailed 3D models and drawings from initial concept through final production release

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management

Support proto@type builds, testing, and design validation efforts

Work directly with vendors to obtain quotes and support manufactured components

Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and production efficiency

Maintain accurate design documentation including CAD files, drawings, and revision control

Communicate design details and changes clearly with internal teams and external suppliers

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

3-5 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency using SolidWorks for solid modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials

Experience with GD&T

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

SolidWorks certification is a plus (CSWA, CSWP, etc.)

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
