Job Summary and Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
Determines priority on patient care and completes work within appropriate time frame.
Delegates work appropriate to job classification with clear concise directions.
Ensures accuracy & completeness of work performed.
Follows hospital policy and procedure in performing job functions, skills and tasks.
Willing to adjust personal schedule in cases of workload fluctuations or other departmental needs.
When assigned work is complete, seeks additional tasks to be done.
Performs well in stress and emergency situations, demonstrating effective coping skills
Follows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete task.
Cleans and services patient care areas, offices, classrooms, lounges, laboratories, hallways, stairs, restrooms, dining areas, elevators, etc.
Vacuums carpets and walk off mats. Pre-treats and cleans spots on carpets and walk off mats.
Cleans mirrors, windows, window sills, and window blinds.
Empties and cleans receptacles, removes biohazard waste according to procedure.
Cleans and sanitizes walls, bedside furniture, bed frames, telephones, and contaminated mattresses.
Strips, refinishes, buffs floors; performs floor maintenance as directed.
Cleans baseboards and corners. Cleans floor baseboard and threshold edges to remove buildup.
Cleans vents and light fixtures.
Cleans equipment before shift. Cleans equipment at the end of shift.
Borrows and returns mops, brooms, dust mops, chemical caddies, and wet floor signs (i.e. equipment).
What qualifications you will need:
·Prior hospital EVS or Linen experience preferred.

Northshore Emergency Center is a full-service 24-7 emergency department in Portland that offers outpatient laboratory, imaging and occupational services. Radiation Oncology offers advanced technology for treating cancer with the latest and most specific radiation therapies available. Our programs focus on the needs of individual patients, while employing the latest techniques and research of 21st-century medicine.
