In This Role, You Will serve the whole child. Aug Prep is looking for an Assistant Dean of Student Success who loves engaging students and families - particularly those struggling most - and loves building a strong and positive culture. The Assistant Dean of Student Success is responsible for shaping and sustaining Aug Prep's high school culture and ensuring that the students internalize Aug Prep's values for academic excellence and behavior expectations in partnership with the Dean. The Assistant Dean of Student Success develops preventative interventions and ensures students who are not yet meeting expectations are provided with wraparound support and follow-through.
A St. Augustine Preparatory Assistant Dean of Student Success Will: Student Support
Promote positive attitudes, behaviors, and skills that support academic success, attendance, and character development.
Encourage and strengthen parental involvement in student achievement and faith-based school culture.
Collect and manage school culture metrics, including attendance, academics, graduation progress, social-emotional well-being, and behavior data.
Intervene and mediate student behavior situations in collaboration with teachers, social workers, advisors, and families; draft behavior plans and document interventions in Infinite Campus as appropriate.
Serve as a point of contact for staff and families regarding student behavior, attendance, and culture-related concerns.
Promote and maintain strong home-school relationships and support parent engagement initiatives.
Oversee systems related to tardiness, absences, and uniforms.
Work collaboratively with parents/students as well as social workers, advisors, and teachers to bring resolution to situations where policies/protocols have been breached.
Report to the principal to highlight gathered data, gain approval for proposed solutions/resolutions to data/issues, and evaluate the effectiveness of systems/protocols put in place.
Serve as a point of contact for teachers, advisors, and parents who present issues/situations related to student behavior and attendance.
Promote and maintain positive home/school relationships as well as facilitate parent events.
Oversee tardies / absences / uniforms
Act in accordance with federal, state and local laws, statutes, and/or policies that related to students and families, and consult with school personnel to ensure compliance in those areas
Be open to coaching and feedback to continuously improve teaching practices and support positive student outcomes.

Monitor and support students during morning arrival, lunch, recess and dismissal.

What We're Looking For
The candidate must be mission-driven, demonstrate the highest integrity, and be able to live the values, beliefs, and culture of Aug Prep.
Bilingual, written and spoken (Spanish and English).
Bachelor's Degree, including any other requirements for accreditation, (Master's degree a plus). State teaching license preferred but not required.
Minimum 2 years experience teaching or social work, with a strong track record of successfully impacting student achievement and working successfully with students who have the greatest needs.
Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues, including the ability to create and nurture a professional community of adult learners.
Demonstrate leadership qualities, including the ability to see the big picture while working directly with students/families and staff to influence the details driving the overall direction.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including high impact facilitation of meetings and presentations, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Proven ability in using student-level data to guide instructional decisions.
Demonstrated teacher leadership with strong pedagogical knowledge and content expertise or clinical experience with adolescent youth.
Participating member of a church
