We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for high-speed rotating machinery to support the design, analysis, and development of advanced turbomachinery operating in compressible flow environments. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of performance, mechanical integrity, and real-world hardware.
You will contribute across the full product lifecycle from early design and detailed analysis to testing, qualification, and production support playing a key role in advancing our rotating machinery product line. Success in this position requires a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, including structural analysis, material behavior, and an appreciation for how components perform under demanding operating conditions.
As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will apply sound engineering judgment, work closely with cross-functional partners, and help translate analytical results into robust, manufacturable designs that perform reliably in service.

Execute, coordinate, and overseeall aspects ofmechanical designfor turbomachineryprograms
Support root cause investigations anddevelop innovative approaches tosolvingcomplex engineering challenges
Documentdesign activity and complex analysesfor a wide range of audiences including technical experts, management, and executiveleadership
Participate in multidisciplinary team engaged in the design and development ofnew technologiesand system architecturestoachieveoptimalperformance
Support proto@type and production development testingactivities
Maintain, improve, and develop techniques, methods, and standards for mechanical design of turbomachinery
Identifyopportunitiesto improve engineering processes, tools, technologies, and quality control standards
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or anAdvancedDegree in a relatedfield
Priorengineering experience withinaerospace, automotive, power generationor manufacturingenvironments.
Qua lifications We Prefer
Working knowledge of mechanical design and analysis principles, including structural strength, stress, and basic materialbehavior
Proficiencywith 3D CAD modelingtools suchasUnigraphicsNXorequivalentsoftware
Exposure to finiteelementanalysis (FEA) for mechanical design usingtoolssuchasANSYS, ABAQUS,orNASTRAN
Competency in rotor dynamicdesign andexperiencesupportinganalysis usingtools such asXLRotor, ANSYS,orARMD
Familiarity with programming or scripting languages(e.g.python, MATLAB, C++, etc.)
Foundational knowledge ofturbomachineryconcepts, includingelements ofaerodynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
Basic understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)analysis,and exposureto software such asANSYS Fluent,orStarCCM+ Familiarity with various manufacturing processes including assembly of precision components, machining process capability, casting, and plastic molding practices

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
