JOB SPECIFICS
This position works in a team environment for the Enterprise Support Services Division within Information Technology. The IT Endpoint Analyst provides advanced support for endpoint hardware and all connected peripherals. This role will also administer support for all county standard endpoint software and specialized departmental software. The IT Endpoint Analyst will provide entry-level network file and application server administration as required. This position will collaborate with customers to provide technical support and solutions, identifying recurring hardware and software problems and make recommendations for prevention and resolution.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Paid work experience managing desktop and mobile endpoints using enterprise device management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Jamf, or similar platforms
Paid work experience diagnosing and resolving complex endpoint issues that impact multiple users or departments, including imaging, deployment, or large-scale workstation remediation efforts
Paid work experience providing technical support directly to end users, including communicating technical information clearly and professionally to non-technical staff
Paid work experience working in a team environment building and maintaining relationships with co-workers from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds who have different personalities, interests, and abilities
Paid work experience providing paid technical support for Windows endpoint operating systems, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications, and Active Directory in a professional environment
Experience maintaining IT inventory and asset records, including tracking hardware and software, updating databases, and assisting with procurement, decommissioning, and redistribution of IT equipment
SELECTION TECHNIQUE: Your training and experience will be rated based on the required application material submitted and the top scoring candidates will be forwarded to the hiring department for further consideration.
HOURS / DAYS: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. On Site at least 4 days per week. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs.
ANTICIPATED HIRING RATE: $34.94 - $41.30 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY
The Endpoint Computing Analyst installs, configures and maintains computer workstation hardware, software and peripheral equipment, conducts maintenance needs assessments, plans and implements maintenance upgrades and training programs. Collaborates with computer users to identify and resolve hardware and software operational problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field and four (4) years of experience installing, configuring and maintaining computer workstation hardware, software and peripherals or related experience, OR an Associate degree in Information Technology or related field and six (6) years of experience installing, configuring and maintaining computer workstation hardware, software and peripheral equipment or related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and job-related work experience that totals eight (8) years of experience installing, configuring and maintaining computer workstation hardware, software and peripheral equipment or related experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide user workstation support.
Install and configure endpoint computing hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
Conduct maintenance needs assessments and plans.
Implement and coordinate hardware and software maintenance schedules including patching, cleaning, data recovery, upgrades and testing.
Collaborate with computer users to provide technical support and to assist in the resolution of software and hardware problems.
Identify recurring hardware and software problems and recommends plans for prevention and resolution.
Maintain security of hardware and software by implementing virus and software scans, updates and other required security protocols.
Research and test new workstation support technologies.
Technology instruction.
Evaluate training requirements.
Develop materials and facilitate user training (computer operations, multimedia, web, email, security, backup, software use, and file and maintenance of end point computing devices, etc.).
Advise users about workstation technology and make recommendations.
May create or assist with creation of end user documentation.
Train and mentor less experienced staff.
System Administration support.
May assist with systems administration functions (managing user accounts and profiles and maintaining hardware and software inventory and licenses).
May assist with Security patch management.
May create application installation packages for enterprise deployment.
May serve as a project manager (defines scope, plans, organizes and directs project teams involved in large or complex systems hardware or software projects).
May serve as a functional team coordinator or lead (schedules, monitors, guides and participates in installing, configuring, analyzing, monitoring and maintaining systems software, hardware and related applications systems).
May assist with annual inventory.
May assist with procurement process.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work will involve remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time, although the incumbent will need to move about inside the office to access files or equipment from time to time and may occasionally need to travel to other sites to perform work or interact with other professionals. The ability to operate and interact with computers or other office equipment, via keyboard, mouse, touch screen, or another Human Interface Device (HID) is required. The incumbent will be exposed to noise and a regular flow of people around an office environment, assigned to changing priorities and occasionally required to work outside of typical business hours to meet project deadlines, or be available on an on-call basis for special projects or to provide support. The incumbent may occasionally need to move or transport moderately heavy objects, such as computer equipment and peripheral, unbox, install, inspect, troubleshoot and repair computer equipment, position themselves to inspect and maintain computer equipment under desks, beneath raised flooring, above suspended ceiling, in data closets, cabling channels/trees, or equipment racks.
