Drone Operator Analyst

Our Client, a Public Utilities company, is looking for a Drone Operator Analyst for their Oakbrook Terrace, IL/ Hybrid location. Responsibilities: Governance & Oversight:

Establish and maintain governance frameworks for UxS program operations, compliance, and safety.

Define program performance, operational, and safety metrics, including accurate calculation methodologies.

Data & Reporting:

Develop and maintain tools and systems for performance tracking, compliance monitoring, and reporting.

Analyze program data to identify trends, root causes of deviations, and recommend actionable improvements.

Deliver accurate and timely reports to leadership and stakeholders.

Compliance & Regulatory:

Ensure adherence to FAA regulations, company policies, and compliance agreements.

Coordinate pilot certification, fleet management, and training documentation in accordance with FAA Part 107.

Vendor & Partnership Management:

Lead procurement of services, software, labor, and materials.

Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance to meet program objectives.

Collaborate with Finance and Accounts Payable for budget alignment and invoice processing.

Program Development & Integration:

Execute strategic roadmap for UxS program development and expansion.

Integrate drone operations into utility workflows and support field operations as needed.

Conduct research and propose innovative solutions to operational challenges.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving.

Field Support:

Provide operational support as a drone pilot when required (FAA certification mandatory within 45 days of employment).

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, Technology, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in industry.
